Trip days are always special at Mudzini School and the grade 6, 7 and 8 students had been buzzing all week in preparation for the educational trip to Shimoni slave caves and Wasini Island on the 25th of September.
The students arrived at school in the wee hours of Saturday morning to start their journey towards Likoni Ferry, then stoping over at Msambweni to have a view of and learn about the sugarcane farms, thereafter arriving at Shimoni caves for a history lesson on slave trade and the routes used in the Kenyan coast during slave trade and finally proceeding to Wasini Island for lunch and a stroll in the mangrove filled coral garden.
Here are some of the highlights from the trip.
